The ‘real id act’ was supposed to go into effect in May of this year, but support for it has been negligible and no state has implemented it yet.
Sadly though, since the un-patriotic act, this data has been gathered into the government’s database anyway. What happened in the video would be entirely possible right now if uncle Sam gave a pizza place access to this database. This unconstitutional data gathering from non-terrorist private citizens is what the retroactive immunity clause in the new FISA legislation is looking to legitimize.
