Claire Danielle Boomershine is here. God graced our home with a little girl, a little leveler, a great joy. Karsten, Haddon, Lincoln and
Knox are beside themselves. Christie is doing well and the induced delivery went normally, well…it’s difficult to talk about normal in the same breath that you should be talking about the wildly amazing and miraculous process. God has lavished the riches of His grace on us, and we rejoice in His way. It’s totally unlike anything we could imagined or designed for ourselves.
Claire was born Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 9:29p at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was 8 lbs. even, has a little bit of reddish hair and has been a sweet baby for these first days.
She has a soul that will never die. May God give us good strength and wisdom to train her in the best ways, to smother her soul in Gospel truth and hope.
Also, you can read here what we think about a girl living in OUR house and, especially, why we named her Claire.
Congratulations on your little girl! It is so much fun for us having a grand daughter…. grandsons are great and special, too, but there is something extra precious about a little grand daughter!
Happy bows and pigtails, Ryan and Christie! God bless you seven!
We are excited for your family and glad that everything went well! It is amazing how things change with a new baby…Your right new life can be nothing more than a creation from God, I watched this video by answers in Genesis a while ago, called “fearfully and wonderfully made”. It goes through each step of a new baby being “knit” together in the womb, so many steps have to fall right into place for a new baby to be made, it’s a wonderful testimony of our creator.
Yeah!!!! We are so, so thrilled for you, AND for Claire Danielle ~ that she has such loving parents who will raise her to love the King!
After having two boys of my own, I love playing dress-up with my girl. It is fun to have someone interested in shoes and asks me to put her hair in piggy tails. And yes, sometimes I try to dress us matching. There is definitly more drama. Everything is an ordeal with her. And she changes her mind quicker than I can keep up with it. (“Not the blue spoon, Mommy! Now I want the green one!”
Boys might not even use the spoon much less care what color it is!) She is nothing like my boys and I love every minute of it! I know you will too. : )
Congratulations!!! Shes beautiful! Red hair – I am so jealous!!!
Congratulations! We continue to pray for God’s continued hand of guidance in your life as you continue to follow after that for which you have been apprehended of HIM!
Glad to hear you had a Girl. She is beautiful
Congrats on your new baby girl! She’s lovely.
P.S. My husband checks his email more frequently than I do, I am always late on news. I must give you his email address. It is zachjones2738@yahoo.com.
Latest girl-thing that you haven’t seen in your house before: all of Aubrey’s and Emma’s dolls and stuffed animals have had babies (not a baby, but multiples) over the years. I realized last night that I will never hear Gideon say anything like that. In this case what’s good for the goose stays put.
Congratulations. They grow up so quickly, take advantage of every opportunity to prepare her for the Lord’s service.
