Two in one week! Here is my favorite car commercial I posted a couple of days ago, and then I saw this one today that’s in second place.

Jonathan Edwards
"The enjoyment of God is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven fully to enjoy God is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here. Fathers and mothers, husbands or wives or children, or the company of earthly friends are but shadows; God is the substance. These are but the scattered beams; God is the sun. These are but streams; God is the ocean."Recent Comments

I will use your two favorite commercials and your bridge video as an opportunity to recommend a good book — The Great Bridge by John McCollough. When I first picked it up I thought, “Okay 600 pages on the building of a bridge, now that sounds exciting!” Of course I knew better to take David McCollough lightly. When he describes the men down in the caissons (large upside-down boxes submerged in the water) I felt like I was there with them. As the caissons sunk deeper under the surface below the river, I felt like I was getting the “bends” along with the workers(an ailment that, at the time, they knew little to nothing about). The author ties in the personal life of the engineer, the Tweed scandal, and much more. It is a fascinating book about American ingenuity. Take it on vacation. I want one of my future vacations to be to the East River to see it!
Sorry, I wrote John McCollough instead of David once — Don’t know where that came from.
I’m familiar with DM and appreciate him. The Great Bridge is in my wishlist–as are most of his.
I’ve been able to see it 4 times, and reading the book would enhance the experience, I’m sure.
